Bolt Tensioners are high-precision, fast, and safe tools designed for accurate bolt pre-loading. A single tensioner model can cover multiple bolt sizes, offering better efficiency and user-friendliness compared to conventional tightening tools. These tensioners can also be operated using a hydraulic hand pump when required.
They are widely used for pre-loading and de-tensioning bolts and studs on flanges of pressure vessels, boiler feed pumps, compressor covers, heat exchangers, and pipelines where uniform joint loading is essential. All tensioners are compatible with standard flange specifications.
Torc Star Bolt Tensioners provide a quick and reliable method of tightening and loosening bolts and studs through controlled hydraulic tensioning. When hydraulic pressure is applied through a Torc Star Pneumo-Hydraulics pump, the load cell lifts the puller upward while gripping the stud threads. This action releases the nut, allowing it to be easily rotated using a nut-rotating socket and tommy bar. The same process is used for both tightening and loosening operations. Each tensioner assembly consists of a load cell, puller, nutrotating socket, and bridge.
